Dive Center Insurance.
Seastar and its staff are fully insured for 3rd person liability through DAN (Divers Alert Network). However, DAN Dive Centre insurance does not cover divers for personal accident insurance. Divers therefore should have dedicated dive insurance.

We've got you covered. We offer all levels of PADI diving courses, whether you are an expert or just starting to dive. Choose a PADI Dive Speciality and trust our expert divers to take you to the next level.
Note: All courses are Performance based, not time based. This is for your own safety, as you need to meet all the theory and practical requirements of each course. Below are average time guidelines.
Do your children ask why you are diving and they cannot? Then the PADI Seal Team is perfect. For children 8 – 10 years, it will keep them occupied and interested but above all it will introduce them to wreck, navigation, buoyancy, underwater photography, environmental awareness and more, all in the safety of the pool. Here's the chance for your children to do some cool stuff in the pool, meet friends and share in the adventure of the underwater world.
The perfect introduction to scuba diving for children in a secure and safe environment. It is open for children 8 yrs and above. On a 1:1 basis with an instructor children are taken on a dive among the coral reefs of Aqaba to a maximum depth of 2m. What a great way to celebrate the 8th Birthday!
Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) - Estimated: Half-Day
There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time, getting up “close and personal” with the fish! It takes a little getting used to but you soon realise this is the only way to see the coral reefs.. The excitement that first time Discover Scuba participants can be highly rewarding to instructors. Plus, you learn the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional and you can get credit toward PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certification, putting you a step ahead of the game when you decide to go for it.
Scuba Diver (SD) -- Estimated: 2 Days
You want to learn to dive but do not have the time? Then the Scuba Diver course is the choice for you to get started. Like all PADI courses it is performance based but will take less time. It is called a limited certificate, the 2 limits being (1) a maximum dive depth of 12 m (2) always accompanied by a DiveMaster or Instructor. The course includes the first three of sections of knowledge development, the first three confined water sessions, and the first two open water training dives. Of course we hope later on you will upgrade to full Open water level.
Open Water (OW) -- Estimated 3-5 Days
Get your PADI scuba certification. If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wondrous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts.
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.
You will have fun with some in-water skills in our swimming pool or in our confined water training area at Club Murjan House Reef. These same skills are then completed in the 4 open water dives of the course! All combined with theory about diving! You will be certified as an Open Water Diver where you can dive anywhere in the world. We recommend a depth of 18 metres until you get experience in further training courses! e.g. Advanced Open Water. Also check out our PADI E-Learning programmes.
Upgrades (Referrals) -- Estimated: Depending on the Referral
Come to us with a Referral and finish your course and/or upgrade from Scuba Diver to Open Water diver. We hope you will enjoy the experience enough to continue your diver education with additional courses, learning more skills and improving your diving enjoyment.
PADI Adventure Diver
Adventure -- Estimated 1-2 Days
Are you interested in expanding your diving knowledge, then think about the Adventure Diver course. You can learn about underwater photography, understand and learn about the marine environment with AWARE Fish Identification. Improve your buoyancy, become more relaxed in water and improve your air consumption all achievable with Peak Performance Buoyancy. These are available to you through Adventure Diver programme. Build upon your skills and gain more confidence.
Advanced Open Water (AOW) -- Estimated 2 Days
Extend your knowledge further with the 2 Core Dives: Deep and Navigation, to add to you Adventure Diver choices and become an n Advanced Open water Diver. Or progress straight from Open water to Advanced Open water as the courses were designed to be back to back. Other choices for the elective dives are: Night, Drift, Reef Diver, Multilevel, Search & Recovery, Underwater Naturalist, Underwater Photography and U/W Digital Photography, as well as Wreck Dive, Peak Performance Buoyancy as mentioned above..
Get credit! Each Adventure Dive in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver course.

Emergency First Response (EFR) -- Estimated 1-2 Days
Do you want to stand helpless on the side lines? You do not have to be a diver to know First aid and CPR skills as anyone at anytime could be called upon to give first aid. Plus it is fun learning serious medical emergency response skills in an upbeat, positive environment. You gain the confidence that you are prepared to help in an emergency. EFR is prerequisite for the PADI Rescue course.
Rescue Diver (RD)
Rescue Diver (RD) -- Estimated 3 Days
The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares the diver to help prevent and manage diving emergencies. Preparing you for the next step in your PADI Diver Education either to Master Scuba Diver, or the professional route to DiveMaster, whichever path you choose the course will improve your confidence and diving skills.
Divided into two sections, theory and open water training, the Rescue Diver course includes topics such as self rescue, diver stress, first aid, equipment problems and emergency management. A must for any responsible diver. A prerequisite for this course is an internationally recognised First Aid qualification, such as Emergency First Response.

Learning to scuba dive requires both: 1) knowledge development (facts, principles, concepts) and
2) motor procedures (skills, techniques, methods).
The PADI E-Learning Open Water Diver Course provides the knowledge development base. Once in resort with Seastar you develop the remaining in-water skills with your PADI Instructor.
After enrolling, PADI's E-Learning system offers interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics as well as reading. This is the future of diver training, with E-Learning providing a sound theoretical knowledge base on which the practical skills are built, developed and perfected with each progressive course..
