This course teaches you to blend gases of Nitrox and Trimix. The program will allow you to understand different blending methodologies, explain the potential hazards related to handling oxygen and demonstrate the steps related to oxygen cleaning equipment.

This program takes 10 hours betwene class, O2 cleaning workshops and gas belnding sessions and is a must for any diver with an interest in Nitrox or technical diving, and who wishes to work on a liveaboard or full service dive operation.

More and more people are diving with enriched air, which means the demand for someone qualified to administer the fills to meet this demand is needed. This is where the DSAT Gas Blender course comes in.

The DSAT Gas Blender course will train you as a qualified gas blender, allowing you to provide gas mixes to appropriately certified consumers. You’ll learn the physical properties of oxygen, its associated hazards, handling requirements and what cleaning equipment is necessary. Finally, you will learn the five methods of obtaining the desired enriched air nitrox mix and the various methods used to obtain proper helium mixes.

The certification as a Gas Blender will allow you to blend your own calculated mix of exotic gases for technical diving. There are two levels to this course, Gas Blender Nitrox and Gas Blender Trimix, which can both be completed concurrently.

During the course you’ll receive a class room session in which we’ll review the dive theory, and then after a tour of our blending facility you’ll enjoy the benefits of an O2 cleaning workshop and gas blending session.
